Betty Lockhart Anglin
A Little Night Music, Watercolor
Judge’s Comments: Betty Lockhart Anglin&rsquot;s watercolor "A Little Night Music" is an allegorical transformation from reality into a world that is reminiscent of the past, or present. The painting has a great deal of complexity and depth in its interior world that is layered with moody symbolic imagery. The woman in the painting is surrounded by adeptly painted vibrant flowers that seem to engulf the room, while musicians silhouette in the distance. It is a very imaginative and sensitive visual sonata.
