Different acrylic mediums and styles will be introduced and students will have the opportunity to paint various subjects which will incorporate the techniques learned. We will paint on gessoed watercolor paper and canvas surfaces. After this course, students should feel comfortable with some basic techniques of acrylic painting and be able to work on their own and transition into more advanced lessons and techniques.

Students must bring the following items with them to class: a mixed media (preferably hardback) sketchbook (8x10 or larger) for notes, sketching, and journaling; a water container, and a roll of paper towels.

A $35 supply fee will be collected by the instructor in the first session.
